Legacy DNS Server will be decommissioned – September 21, 2011 10:00

On Wedneday, September 21st, 2011, the legacy DNS server for Wireless and Resnet at will be decommissioned. All Wireless and Resnet users are advised to use DHCP to obtain an IP address and DNS server addresses automatically to avoid service interruption.

All on-campus users should be using the UBC IT internal DNS servers at and instead of the external DNS servers at and or any other DNS server. These internal DNS servers for on-campus use provide a more robust environment for DNS queries and are unaffected by external internet traffic.
