This issue affecting Yahoo mail from receiving notification emails should now be resolved. iCloud email addresses are still not receiving email notifications from Canvas. Any users with a Yahoo or iCloud email address added to their Canvas account are currently not receiving email notifications from Canvas. UBC is working with Instructure to resolve this issue. In the meantime, if you want to receive notifications to an alternate email address, you can update your default email in Canvas to a non-Hotmail or Outlook address.
To do this, select Account (from the left-hand navigation menu) > Settings, and then click the “+ Email Address” button under “Ways to Contact”. After adding a secondary email, hover your mouse over the new email and select the star icon to change the default email (if you have not used this address before, you will be prompted to confirm the email first).
