September 5th, 2018 15:30 PT – All web authentication services have now been confirmed to be stable and are fully operational.  If you would like to receive a more detailed account of activities performed and the analysis that we are currently conducting, please refer to the Cybersecurity Confidential Communications website (hxxps://cc.cybersecurity.ubc.ca/).  You will need to sign in with your Campus-Wide Login (CWL) using a UBC IP address to access the site.


September 5th, 2018 13:00 PT – Services impacted by the CWL authentication issues are still reporting stabilization.   Our technicians are continuing to monitor the situation throughout the day and investigating the root cause.   We will do an in-depth analysis once stabilization has been confirmed.

We are currently experiencing Campus-Wide Login authentication issues.  Applications with web authentications, such as Canvas and RISe are intermittently accessible at this time. Services such as FASmail, wireless, HRMS, and FMS are not impacted.

Our technicians are currently investigating the issue.  We will provide another update in an hour.
