The Voice System (Angus PBX) Issue has been resolved as of 7:40 pm on May 17, 2011.

Voice System Maintenance May 16, 2011 23:15-23:45

UBC IT will be performing maintenance on the Angus PBX from 23:15 to 23:45 on May 16, 2011. In order to resolve a system stability problem, a reboot of the switch is required. All telephone services hosted on the Angus PBX will be unavailable for 5 minutes during the change window, while the switch restarts.

UBC On-Campus Phone Long Distance Dialing Issue May 11, 2011

There are currently issues dialling the following countries from on-campus at UBC Vancouver: Australia New Zealand Fiji TELUS is investigating the issue, but there is no estimated resolution time.

Intercall Conferencing Decommissioning April 29, 2011 12:00 – 13:00

UBC IT is consolidating conferencing service offerings. As a result, UBC IT is discontinuing Intercall-based conferencing accounts on April 29, 2011. If you have an Intercall conferencing account, and you continue to require conferencing services, please contact your Departmental Voice Administrator to request a Telus conferencing account. ResTel Decommissioning April 29, 10:00 – 11:00

UBC IT has ceased the operation of the ResTel phone service. If you are a former ResTel subscriber and require phone service in your room, please contact Shaw at 310-SHAW. Please note that Shaw services are not available at St. Andrew’s Hall.

Update: UBC Voip Phone Calls from Off Campus Failing April 26, 2011

Inbound PSTN calls to VOIP now appear to be functioning properly. We are continuing to investigate the cause of the issue this afternoon.

VoIP phones from PSTN lines (i.e., cell phones, landlines off-campus) are intermittently failing with the message: “ The number you have dialled is not assigned”. Please try re-dialing. We are investigating.

Pinnacle Billing application maintenance April 18 14:00 – April 25 19:00

The UBC IT Pinnacle Billing system and Voice Departmental Portal will undergo major functional upgrades and will be unavailable from 14:00 on Monday April 18, to 19:00 on Monday April 25. Contact Centre Maintenance, March 28, 2011 18:00-21:00

UBC IT will be performing maintenance on the Contact Centre environment on March 28, 2011 from 18:00 – 21:00. Contact Centre will be unavailable for 30-60 minutes during this period, but no customer impact is expected. Call processing and treatments will be managed by backup systems.

Buchanan PBX Maintenance February 3, 2011 18:00-18:30
