The scheduled maintenance of the Exchange servers this morning has resulted in an unplanned outage. The servers are clustered, and therefore are fully redundant. Failover did not occur as expected (and which has occurred on all other previous maintenance occasions). As a result, service has been lost to one of the Exchange servers (EVS1). A list of impacted departments is available here. Every attempt is being made to restore service as soon as possible. Microsoft technicians are working with our staff to diagnose the problem. More information will be available at 11:00 AM. We know this having an impact, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to resolve this problem.
