Update on Email Delivery Delays – Thursday, January 10, 2008

Inbound and outbound mail queues on the UBC Mail-Relays have returned to normal. As a result, delivery delays should no longer be experienced for:
– Exchange (messages from outside UBC)
– UBC.ca aliases
– UBC departments using the mail-relays

However, message queues on the Interchange mail system remain high due to the mailing-list loop. Delays may still be experienced by Interchange subscribers sending or receiving email. UBC IT is working on clearing the Interchange queues to resolve the delivery delay problem. We apologize for any inconvenience.
