The UBC IT Bulletins site will no longer be updated on July 18, 2022 and users will need to visit its replacement, the UBC IT Status Page at https://status.it.ubc.ca, where they can view or subscribe to status updates and incident notifications.

UBC IT Bulletins was kept as a legacy site in order to temporarily maintain RSS feeds and intended to provide users time to switch their subscriptions to the Status Page channels.

Before the decommission date of July 18, 2022, we recommend visitors go to https://status.it.ubc.ca to begin subscribing to the new notifications the Status Page has to offer. For our enterprise-level services, users can now subscribe in multiple ways that now include customizable push notifications:

BCNET VANTX1 Rack 3 Power Distribution Units Replacement on November 19, 2020 06:00-08:00 PT

Reason:     BCNET will be replacing two End-of-Life Power Distribution Units in the Rack 3 at the BCNET Vancouver Exchange, VANTX1.

 

 

Effects:    The following equipment in this rack has two or more physical power supplies and is expected to stay operational during this maintenance window:

  • INSIGHT1.VNCV1
  • INSIGHT2.VNCV1
  • SIGHTLINE1.VNCV1
  • SIGHTLINE2.VNCV1
  • InfoBlox1.VNCV1
  • SW1.VNCV1-1
  • SW2.VNCV1-2
  • SRV1.VNCV1
  • CONSOLE1.VNCV1
  • CONSOLE3.VNCV1

 

The following equipment in this rack has only one physical power supply and will be down one by one during this maintenance window for approximately 30 minutes:

 

–  FW1-PRIM.VNCV1

–  FW1-SEC.VNCV1
