Reason: Outage was due to a Fiber cut affecting the Western ROADM connections from a rockslide in a remote area north of Hope. Supplier crews had an estimated 400m of fibre to replace as well as a large amount of damaged conduit in a site only accessible by rail.
Effects: BCNET saw services returning to normal operation starting about 11:30 February 12, 2020. All repair operations have been officially completed; no further connectivity outages are expected.
