Fradulent Email Alert June 22, 2011

Fraudulent emails from American Express Canada have been reported. The email contains a link to an online survey mimicking American Express, asking for the user’s credit card number, verification number, etc. American Express does not collect its user’s confidential information through online surveys. Do not reply to this email, click on any links or fill out any online forms with your account information. Instead, please forward a copy of the email including full headers to security@ubc.ca and then delete it from your Inbox or mobile phone. If you think you may have submitted your CWL or login account credentials, go to myAccount and login and change your password immediately. Please remember to notify security@ubc.ca of the possible temporary breach of your CWL account.
