The reported FASmail issues from earlier this morning have been resolved.

If you continue to experience Outlook related issues, please try a restart of your device to correct the issue before contacting the IT Service Centre.

Further to our update this morning at 11:00 PT, during this time some users may continue to experience occasional freezes or slowness. In the meantime, if you are unable to connect to FASmail via Outlook, we recommend using Outlook Web Mail (OWA). If you are still unable to connect via Outlook or OWA, try restarting your device before contacting the IT Service Centre.

Another update will be posted at 15:00 PT.


Further to our update this morning at 07:45 PT, some campus users experienced issues accessing their FASmail mailbox using Outlook, Outlook Web Access (OWA) and ActiveSync via mobile devices.

As of this moment, access issues should be restored but our technical team will need to restart the environment to ensure any lingering issues are fully resolved. This involves restarting servers on a rolling basis, which has already begun. Users may experience occasional freezes or slowness during this time.

 

In the meantime, if you are unable to connect to FASmail via Outlook, we recommend using Outlook Web Mail (OWA). If you are still unable to connect via Outlook or OWA, try restarting your device before contacting the IT Service Centre.

Some users may be experiencing issues accessing their mailbox using Outlook. As an alternative, Outlook Web Access may be available at https://www.mail.ubc.ca.

UBC IT is investigating.
