Reason: BCNET experienced a Supplier Fiber cut on our Vancouver-Prince George backbone network. The fiber cut was caused by a truck accident that took out a pole causing the break in the fiber. The supplier was able to install a temporary cable around the accident site and restore service.
Effects: BCNET backbone service was restored at 4PM PT Wednesday November 13,2019 and the Bell transit service was restored at 5:10PM Wednesday November 13,2019.
