The fiber repair work has been completed and all services have been restored as of 03:02 PT on October 21, 2019.

A workaround has been established by BCNET to restore all affected UBC Services. Network Connectivity to all affected UBC locations and Departments has been restored as of 23.20 PT.

The vendor will be performing repair work this evening after 20:00. There is no estimated time of restoration at this time.

Presently there are issues with a UBC Core router.  Technicians are working on the issue.

The following services are impacted:
• Ministry of Environment at Aquatic Ecosystems Research Laboratory (AERL)
• MedIT DMPAV, Video Conferencing system across Campus
• Genome Sequence Center at Vancouver General Hospital
• BC Cancer Research Center
• UBC Eduroam users at Vancouver Island Health Authority sites
