RESOLVED: UBC IT Hosted Services System Outage June 19, 2019

All of our services are now operational as of June 19, 2019.


Update: June 18, 2019, 16:30 PT

All services, except for few services that still need to be confirmed by service owners, are restored. We will be working with our vendor to understand the cause of the outage, and more importantly how to prevent it from happening again going forward.

Thank you for your patience and we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.


Update: June 18, 2019, 15:30 PT

The Student Service Centre is now back up.

Update: June 18, 2019, 15:00 PT

A number of systems are now restored, including wireless services. Faculty and Staff email (FASmail) is expected to be restored earlier this evening along with the remaining services.

June 18, 2019, 14:00 PT

Technicians are still continuing to work on bringing all of the services back up. We are expecting critical services (e.g. Student Service Centre, FASmail, HRMS, and authentication services) to be up and running around 15:30 PT.

Technicians are continuing to work on bringing the services back up. We are expecting critical services (e.g. Student Service Centre, FASmail, HRMS, and authentication services) to be up and running around 15:30 PT.

UBC IT hosted services are unavailable due to a system outage. Our technicians are currently investigating. Our estimated time of resolution is approximately two hours. We will provide another update at around 13:00.
