For UBC IT supported departments still operating their own Active Directory domain, UBC IT will be actively sifting through all accounts and disabling any account that has been deemed to have not been used prior to the year 2016. The list of affected domains, departments, and application dates are below.
-SHS (Student Health) – May 4
-Active (Enrolment Services, SD&S, & ISI dept) – May 5
-GSAB (Finance) – May 9
-LBS (Land & Building Services) – May 10
-SALA (School of Architecture) – May 12
For each of the listed areas above, the disabling process will last no longer than 2 days. For any account that may be inadvertently disabled, please send in a ticket to http://it.ubc.ca/sos for remediation, and include your department name, the user ID being used, and the resource you are attempting to access.
Please note that this activity will NOT affect your EAD or CWL accounts -they will still operate as normal.
