Changes for UBC Directory Data Users January 28, 2016 10:00-12:00 PT

Please be advised that the OpenLDAP server housing UBC Directory data is undergoing a certificate upgrade on January 28th 2016 between 10:00 -12:00 PT . The certificate upgrade is from SHA-1 to SHA-2 and while no service disruption is expected during the change, it could impact legacy anonymous connections. Several service owners for enterprise services have already been contacted, and have validated their connections ahead of this change.

UBC Directory data in LDAP is available by anonymous access and if you experience connectivity issues, please ensure your LDAP client supports SHA-2 certificates.

If any users experience issues connecting to this data after the change, please contact the IT Service Centre or visit the UBC IT Self Service portal.

For any questions regarding UBC Directory data in OpenLDAP, please contact Dustin Sheridan.
