The issue with access from the Vancouver campus was found to be a missing firewall rule. This rule was visually verified and put into production when the SPSS license server restriction was placed into effect at 16:00 today, but was missing from the production firewall when it was re-checked at 17:44. The rule was immediately re-added and the service has been operational since that time.
Testing was performed to confirm that clients connecting using the UBC myvpn service are functional.
Although it is expected to be working, further testing is being performed for the 137.82 address range. Should you continue to experience any issues launching the network-licensed version of SPSS, please contact the IT Service Centre.
