Today (January 14th 2015) at 10:30am, the campus phone service experienced a service impacting outage that resulted in the following impacts:
Approximately 1,700 users using the campus VoIP service are unable to receive phone calls from off-campus or from the legacy TDM service. These individuals should be able to make outbound phone calls and receive calls from other VoIP services on campus.
Approximately 2,000 users still using the legacy TDM service are also impacted. These individuals will not be able to make calls to VoIP phones on campus or vice versa, or access voicemail. They should be able to make outbound phone calls and receive phone calls from off-campus.
Technicians are working on isolating the issue and restoring service as soon as possible. There is currently no estimated time of resolution but this bulletin will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
