BCNET VICTX Outage 8:22 – 9:00AM August 5, 2010 Resolved

Reason: Failure of the primary UPS and failover to the secondary
UPS failover did not complete successfully.
The unsuccessful failover is due to an incorrect bypass
setting after building electrical maintenance conducted
last month. The secondary UPS has been corrected.

Effects: All network services through the Victoria Transit Exchange
were affected.

Internet Transit services were available as of 08:35.
ROADM and lightpath services were available as of 08:40.
All other services are confirmed as back to normal operation
as of 09:00.
