BCNET outage for fibre splicing work July 4, 2009 00:00 – 02:00

Reason: Fibre splicing is required to move to the
permanent fibre from a temporary fibre repair
due a fibre cut on the Cambie street construction

Effects: There will be a loss of connectivity to the following
sites during the fibre splicing:
PHSA (Children and Womens Hospital), UBC sites at
Vancouver Hospital, Cancer Research Centre, and
Genome Sciences Centre.
The interruption should be less than 60 minutes,
but the entire window is reserved.
