Update: UBC Point Grey Campus Telephone System Issues June 26, 2009 16:45

Congestion between the campus switches eased around 1:30PM today through a combination of factors – configuration changes were made by Telus, more staff were added to manage call queues, and messages routed students to the correct groups on campus. These factors eased the pressure on specific areas of the phone system.

We will continue to monitor and manage the unusually high call volumes for the remainder of the registration period this year and will make adjustments as required.
