Working with our technology vendors and telephone service providers, the technical team at UBC IT has further investigated, and in order to resolve the issue, all calls are now being redirected to another gateway. The process of redirecting the calls will cause some calls that are connected to disconnect. If users are disconnected, they can redial to connect again and the call should go through.

We are currently experiencing an issue that intermittently affects calls between the UBCV Campus and off-campus lines. The UBCV caller will intermittently experience a fast busy signal or no tone when dialing external numbers from UBCV and vice-versa. Calls within the UBCV campus and calls made from analog lines in the UBC Hospital are not affected. We are investigating the root cause.
