BCNET Router Outages December 23, 2015 – 12:35 UPDATE

Reason: Regular lifecycle maintenance of the core BCNET
routers to upgrade the OS to the next release
was scheduled for 06:00 to 08:00.
The router reboots have caused issues on some
line cards. Personnel are on site and investigating.
Primary ports are being migrated and card swaps
underway. Faulted line cards are in process to be
replaced with the vendor.

Effects: All services have returned to regular operation other
than the BCNET DATA-SAFE service. This is expected
to be offline until Dec. 24 while waiting for a card
replacement.

Kelowna area services were restored as of about 09:30.

TRU services were restored as of 10:35.

Victoria area services were restored by 12:35.
